Southern Sky Best On Display For Gideon And Alexandra

A Lasting Impression Was Made Forever

The clear night sky as observed through a large telescope opens the door to vistas one can barely imagine. And Gideon and Alexandra celebrating their anniversary believed an evening under the stars with these wonders was an appropriate way to remember it.

Autumn is a superb time of year for many reasons by the beach stargazing at night. The weather is often mild and the feature views through the eyepiece are many and varied. Galaxies, globular clusters, giant nebulae and even a couple of our Solar System’s members were on show. The pair was in awe of seeing all this, together with the Eta Carina Nebula which is quite possibly the nicest view of our Milky Way from anywhere on Earth. It was a fabulous night and we suspect we may see them again at another time of the year to capture views of different objects “strutting their stuff” in the night sky 🙂
