Deep Space Astronomy Tour By The Beach In Winter Was Tops

… according to Charlotte. A late Christmas present delivery from 2024 for Charlotte saw Fran, Teck and the lucky recipient spending two nights with Honeysuckles Astronomy Tours. And by all accounts, everyone had a fabulous time. The astronomy tour on night one was superb, with still clear skies – and temperatures not far above zero, providing excellent views of a diverse range of winter night sky objects. (Guests are reminded before coming to bring warm clothing, especially in winter months: being well prepared is a big help)

“Centaurus A” galaxy was Charlotte’s favourite object, with The Tarantula Nebula and Omega Centauri also getting a prize from Teck  and Fran. The Jewel Box open star cluster was also a favourite.

Our winter school holidays have been popular with guests this year. Even in winter, the beach is a terrific holiday destination and the night sky always has brilliant objects on display through our powerful telescope.
