Happy Birthday Stephen! A Million Light Year Society Membership

 

When Jocelyn bought Stephen’s birthday present, she knew there would be no “taking this one back to the shop”. Stephen, an engineer with a strong interest in all things space, has travelled through the U.S. with Joc when both had occasion to marvel at some of NASA’s best prizes – including the magnificent Saturn V rocket of the 1960’s Mooon Landing era.

Their “Leisure Tour” with Honeysuckles Astronomy Tours enabled time to settle in with a beach walk before dinner and a memorable journey through the heavens later in the evening, on a perfect May night. It was a fabulous occasion with a host of objects viewed …. Now having just bought a new home, the only difficulty for Stephen will be convincing Joc how much they need a “handy” back yard telescope so they can re-visit some of the objects they saw with us! 🙂
