Courtney And Jenni From Indiana And Nevada Experience The “Real” Deep South

… South of the equator, that is. And it’s a very different experience at that.

Northern hemisphere skies vary greatly to the views for those of us well south of the equator and it’s a happy fact of life that the southern skies are considered richer with fine objects, than our northern counterparts. Few from either hemisphere have the good fortune to look through a large aperture telescope, but for those who do, an array of spectacular sights await. Our happily, now ensconced friends in Melbourne, might endorse that opinion with little opposition.

The two most revered globular clusters – massive balls of thousands … and millions of stars, are found in deep southern skies within easy reach for our guests to view. As is the largest star forming nebula and region known, situated in nearby galaxy, the “Large Magellanic Cloud” – a star system about as south in the sky as you can get. The list to view goes on … and all while enjoying the sounds of a nearby Bass Strait gently lapping the shore. Come and spend a night with Honeysuckles Astronomy Tours and change how you see the world, forever.
