School Holiday Adventure Outing A Highlight For Parents And Children

Visiting The Honeysuckles on holidays during their school break, parents Des and Lauren bring daughter Sophie with lifelong friend Amy to Honeysuckles Astronomy Tours for what was a new experience for all of them. The night was mild and clear and several hours were enjoyed looking at some of our night sky’s  spectacular objects. The group also learned some fascinating facts and figures to give space some meaning and context. One thing is for sure … space is a big place!

Constellation Orion is high in the sky at this time of year and the Great Orion Nebula is a star attraction for guests (any pun intended). As one of the premiere star forming regions visible from Earth, it never fails to draw comments of amazement. Gas giant Jupiter was also very popular with different eyepieces being employed to show off the planet’s surface features.

It was an “unforgettable” night under the stars and one they will remember. Viewing the marvels of the universe is an event everyone should experience. It’s an unbelievable world out there!
