The Marvellous Night Sky Comes Alive For Deborah

A Long Time Wish To Explore The Stars Up Close Becomes A Reality

As a “country girl” Deborah has always loved looking into the heavens on dark starry nights and been captivated by the beauty and wonder of it all. Having spent a lifetime doing this, it was time to take the next step and see what REALLY is up there. A solo tour for Deborah provided her with all the time she could want to look through the eyepiece at unimaginable objects that simply defy one’s imagination.

We started with Solar System gas giant Jupiter, then Mars. We then stepped it up a little travelling out many thousands of light years to look into some of the great globular clusters that encircle our own galaxy’s central core. Massive gas clouds – nebulae, followed, including the Great Orion Nebula … with the Tarantula Nebula almost in the most southern part of our sky. Deborah was enthralled by the textures and forms these objects take on: because in reality, few have ever encountered them in there life’s education or experiences. An astronomy tour is a journey to a new place for almost all guests … and it’s a journey all will remember vividly.
