For Hannah, An Astrophysics Graduate, A Dark Sky Visit To A Large Telescope Was A Dream Come True

Whilst Victoria was being swept away by strong winds and showers, Honeysuckles Astronomy Tours was able to stage a fabulous cloudless tour for our intrepid observers. In a list that included triple stars, galaxies, star forming regions and giant globular clusters, we also gazed upon gas giants of the Solar System, Saturn and Neptune.

Our guests were keen on stargazing, but they earned the courage award as well. Their tour was the last day of winter … 31st August. Obviously a tour of the night sky was not “adventure” enough, for a swim in the ocean was also part of their planned adventure holiday away from Melbourne. Good luck to them! 🙂
