Ian And Sarah, With Rio And Noah On Holidays from Japan

The morning after … Ian and Sarah from Melbourne with Rio and Noah on a short visit from Japan, while enjoying a six day Airbnb stay and an AstroTour. Still conditions and dark skies with pin-point stars were the order of the night with meteors in abundance to be seen throughout the evening. For the family, every object observed presented a new and unexpected treasure revealed. It doesn’t matter who you are … an intimate view into different parts of the universe can’t help but change the way you see and feel about the world.

“We had 6 wonderful days at Bruce’s house. It’s literally a minute’s walk from the beach and is surrounded by beautiful native bush, which brought lots of of bird life into our view as we relaxed on the deck, including parrots, whip birds, wrens, and even a couple of the neighbour’s chooks. The local surrounds are truly stunning. The beach was pretty wild while we were there thanks to southerly winds, so swimming wasn’t possible on a few days, but simply being on that long stretch of basically empty beach was a great experience for us city folk. The house itself is very comfortable with everything we needed. We especially loved the outdoor areas, where we relaxed and enjoyed the cool sea breezes and bird songs. At night we got cosy around a camp fire in the fire pit. The highlight of the trip for us was probably the Astrotour. We got a clear night and saw some amazing objects and enjoyed Bruce’s narration of what we were looking at. It really is a once in a lifetime chance to look deep into the cosmos. Highly recommended!! Bruce was a great host – friendly, helpful, and very hospitable. We’re very much looking forward to a return visit!”
